Your Happy Place

My life has changed significantly in these past few months.

We moved to Sydney, Australia for my husbands job.

It seriously feels like paradise.

The birds, flowers, beaches, all the new things to do...heavenly.

AND to be honest with you, my nervous system has been freaking out lately.

Driving on the left hand side of the road, not having my besties close by, being 10,000 miles away from much of my family (except it's all in kilometers...and that really throws me for a loop). Lot's of newness that my nervous system really is NOT a fan of.

So I am doing all I can to create safety in a new place in a new situation.

I am finding the things that help me to relax and feel at home.

Some of my favorites lately: sitting on my balcony watching the colorful birds, getting some "Vitamin Sea" as I walk on the beach, listening to my body when I need a rest, and being a compassionate cheerleader to myself when I mess up (like when I flick the windshield wipers instead of the turn signal). Reminding myself it feels hard because it is hard.

I am guessing you may have some things that are throwing your nervous system for a loop in your life.

What can you do to create a little more safety for your nervous system?
