An Easy Fix To Help You Be Your Best Self
I just read a great book by Jefferson Fisher called The Next Conversation.
In it he shared a ton of great suggestions, but my favorite was this:
LET YOUR BREATH BE YOUR FIRST WORD.
Taking a breath before you speak will give you access to what I call your thinking brain.
This is the part of our brain that helps us respond instead of react.
It helps us think clearly, listen, to connect with our person, to be curious.
Ultimately to show up as the person we really want to be.
Give it a try, take a breath and relax your body.
Your nervous system will thank you.
Remember, a relaxed body cant house stress.
