When Everything Feels Like a Lot

You know those times when it feels like you have a lot going on—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually?

That was me this week.

Looking back, it felt like a bit of a whirlwind. I noticed I was feeling overwhelmed, so I paused and took a closer look at everything on my plate. I even grabbed a piece of paper and wrote it all down.

And you know what? It was incredibly validating.

Of course I feel this way.

Instead of criticizing myself for being overwhelmed, I chose to validate how I was feeling. And honestly, being kind to myself felt just as powerful as when someone else offers that kindness.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, sad, angry, discouraged—or anything at all—try validating yourself.

Of course you feel this way. It makes sense that you do.

You don’t need to make yourself wrong for having feelings. Just acknowledge them. Validate them. Be aware of them.

You deserve that kind of compassion—especially from yourself.
