Busy Olympics?
I wasn’t feeling so great, so I laid down for a few minutes to rest.
Within minutes, I found myself thinking I should be doing something—checking emails, working on a podcast, or at least reading a book.
It’s like I have this belief that it’s not okay to rest.
I think I’ve convinced myself there’s a Busy Olympics, and I’m working hard for the gold medal.
News flash: There is no Busy Olympics.
That constant need to be busy may actually be your nervous system in FLIGHT—a stress response that keeps you moving, doing, and avoiding stillness.
Remember: You are a human BEING, not a human DOING.
Give yourself a break.
Resting isn’t doing nothing.
Rest is giving your nervous system permission to slow down.
What can you do this weekend to slow things down a bit?
Sending you so much love.
