A Hug For Your Heart

You know those times were life feels like a lot?

Maybe you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, unseen, or feeling really small.

When I am feeling like that, one of my favorite things to do is to put my hands on my heart for a minute or two.

It is like a little hug for my heart.

Putting my hands on my heart sends a message to my nervous system that I am safe.

It helps me to slow down long enough to validate how I am feeling.

I do it for the other people I care about, why not do it for myself?

A little self compassion goes a long way my friend.
