Don’t Go to the Hardware Store for Milk 🛠🥛
If you needed a gallon of milk, would you run to Home Depot? Probably not. Yet, in a mixed faith relationship, we sometimes expect our person to give us something they just don’t have on their shelf.
Looking for spiritual validation from someone who sees things differently? Hoping for enthusiasm about a church event when they’ve stepped away? That’s like asking the hardware store for milk. It’s not that they don’t care—it’s just not something they can give.
So, where can you get what you need? Maybe from a friend, your ward family, or even within yourself. And when we stop expecting milk from the hardware store, we can appreciate it for what it does offer—love, partnership, and support in different ways.
Take a deep breath, let go of the expectation, and look for the good that’s already there. ❤️💙
